My approach is integrative, holistic & person-centered.

Integrative

I blend therapeutic approaches to best address your unique needs. I have been trained Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); Internal Family Systems (IFS); and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). See below for more information about these approaches.

Holistic

I have a strong emphasis on the interconnectedness of your mind, body, spirit and environment. This means, foundational health factors such as sleep, diet/nutrition, movement and connections are considered, alongside thoughts, feelings, behaviours and personal values to inform a picture of holistic well-being. I see you as a whole person, not a label or diagnosis.

Person-centered

My approach to therapy is deeply rooted in genuine connection and understanding. At its heart is a person-centered philosophy, where I trust in your inherent capacity for growth. I strive to offer you empathy and unwavering positive regard, creating a space where change can naturally unfold.

Therapy Modalities.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT is a unique and creative model for both therapy and coaching, based on the use of mindfulness and values. The aim of ACT is to maximise human potential for a rich, full and meaningful life; to cultivate health, vitality and well being through mindful values-based living.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS is a model of psychotherapy that views the mind as comprised of various "parts," each with its own unique feelings, thoughts, and motivations. These parts aren't seen as separate personalities, but rather as different aspects of the self that develop over time in response to experiences.

Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT)

CBT is a practical therapy focused on the link between your thoughts, feelings, and actions. It helps you identify negative thinking patterns and learn healthier ways to think and behave. By changing these patterns, CBT aims to reduce distress and improve your overall well-being. It's typically a focused and active approach where you learn specific skills to manage your challenges.
